Celestial movements & Orbs
Celestial movements are period-based patterns that take place at regular intervals, based on your diagram. An orb is a buffer zone around an angle to define the element that we count as an alignment.
They are based on the relationship between at the location a celestial body is right now and at the location a celestial body was at the period of your birth (in your natal diagram).
Since you were born, the celestial bodies have continued to move.
At the moment the current position of a celestial body forms an aspect with at the location a celestial body was at the moment you were born, we call that a celestial movement.
For instance, the Solar body moves through the zodiac once every year and has big celestial movements every three months (every period it completes one-quarter of its 12 month cycle).

Each alignment between a pair of celestial bodies has a meaning.
At the moment two celestial bodies produce a celestial movement, the celestial bodies are solely exactly in alignment with each other for an instant.
An orb is simply a buffer zone for the element that counts as an alignment.
Solar return ends at 3° after being exact.
Solar return starts 3° before being exact.
Various astrologers utilize various orbs for various purposes, ranging from 1° to 10° on either side.
